Melinda Bowers, CSR — Owner
Melinda Bowers, CSR, a certified shorthand reporter, graduated from the Court Reporting Institute of Houston in 1997. Melinda became a Texas CSR in January of 1998 where she embarked on her career in court reporting. During this time, Melinda gained invaluable experience working as a freelance court reporter for various agencies, including Independent Reporting in Houston, Texas and Wendy Ward Roberts & Associates in Dallas, Texas.
In 1999, Melinda married and moved to Mississippi where she started Bowers Court Reporting. She has built her business on her reputation for excellence and professionalism in Mississippi and Alabama. Lawyers and court reporting agencies nationwide trust her to handle their most technical and most pivotal testimony in their cases.
Melinda is a hardworking perfectionist with an unyielding dedication to the industry who strives to deliver a perfect transcript on time, every time! Melinda’s love and passion for the career of court reporting motivates her to stay up-to-date with the ever-changing technology of the industry, utilizing “the latest and greatest” equipment and software. She is a member of the National Court Reporters Association and currently serving as secretary of the Mississippi Court Reporters Association.
